A trip across the Forth on a damp afternoon. It was a crazily difficut task toget 11 players on the pitch with no other club matches and anyone eligible to play but we got there in the end. Thanks to Sophie L. for rearranging stuff to come and doing a great job in a more defensive position than usual. We started very sharply - I put the ball into their defensive 25 from the pass-back (forgetting I was supposed to be sweeper!!) and we kept it there until Bella slotted it home - opening her senior goal tally in her debut senior match! We continued to create chances with some great build up when we used Joyce and Freya P. down the right flank. Skill and pace were creating opportunities down the left. Louise created a few opening on her reverse managed to collect the 2nd (though Bella was doing the correct thing and nearly pinched it on the far post following up. We were a bit guilty of ball watching defensively and they created some significant overloads by breaking in numbers. In the 2nd half we were less convincing,as a team going forward but Heidi and the other forwards were still "connecting and Lara and Freya were communicating and sorting the marking much better in defense. Everyone probably now knows why I don't normally play as sweeper!! Thanks to Marjorie Watson for doing the whistling duties - well done everyone!
